When traveling to Belgium from the UK by car, motorhome or motorbike you have 2 ways to cross the channel; Take the Eurotunnel, or take a ferry. When coming from the south of England and for quick visits, the Eurotunnel is probably your best option. But in any other case, you’re better of with a ferry crossing.

The Hull-Zeebrugge ferry line is currently the only direct ferry line connection England and Belgium. Prices start from 149£. Alternatively you can take one of the ferry lines leading to France or The Netherlands and continue your way from there.

Ferries from Hull:

  • P&O Ferries runs a direct ferry line to Belgium between Hull and Zeebrugge

Ferries from Dover:

  • DFDS operates a ferry line between Dover and Duinkerkque (France)
  • P&O Ferries and DFDS both operate ferry lines between Dover and Calais (France).

Ferries from Newcastle:

  • DFDS runs a ferry line between Newcastle Upon Tine and Ijmuiden, Amsterdam (The Netherlands).
