B-mine is the former coal-mining site of Beringen and an important part of the industrial heritage of Limburg. The former mining buildings have been renovated and serve various purposes. The B-mine site consists out of a visitor centre, offices, the mining museum, a swimming pool, a diving centre, an indoor climbing centre and more.
There’s also place for outdoor recreation on the 2 spoil tips behind the coalmine. The small spoil tip offers an “adventure mountain” for the kids, a hiking trail that leads to the viewing platform as well as a mountain biking trail. The large spoil tip is perfect for a somewhat longer hike to the top, where the 360° will reveal why Limburg is the greenest province of Flanders.
