About Lake Robertville

Constructed in 1928, the Lac de Robertville is a significant dam lake in the province of Liège, Belgium, primarily built to supply drinking water to Malmedy and to power the Bévercé power station. This impressive body of water spans a surface area of 62 hectares and boasts a capacity of 8,000,000 m³, fed by and emptying into the Warche river. Its weight-arch type dam stands 54.50 meters high, with a crest length of 182 meters, showcasing a remarkable feat of engineering. Beyond its practical uses, the lake is a hub for recreational activities, including fishing, boating, mini-golf, tennis, and, of course, swimming.
